The Greater Denton Arts Council is launching a new Live Music Series hosting international artists, as well as gifted local artists. For the show in October, the GDAC will welcome Marty Willson-Piper, Salim Nourallah, and Laish.
Marty Willson-Piper is a British guitarist and singer-songwriter who has been writing and performing with many bands and artists all over the world for the past 35+ years. He is best known as a long-time member of the Australian psychedelic rock band the Church. Salim Nourallah is a North Texas music scene fixture. After gaining initial acclaim with the Denton-based Nourallah Brothers he’s gone on to release a half-dozen solo albums and produce a fine list of many others (including the Old 97s, Rhett Miller, Deathray Davies & the Damnwells). Laish is the name for Danny Green’s songs. Danny is known for honest, self-reflective songs and stunning live performances.
In addition to enjoying an amazing evening of music, your VIP tickets will also give you and your guest access to the meet & greet with Marty Willson-Piper prior to the show on October 18, at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center.
