Classical Open Mic is a free and open event, where professional and amateur classical musicians can play anything they desire related to classical music. From violin solos to opera arias to string quartets and horn concertos, musicians of all levels are welcomed to share their talents with the friendly and appreciative cafe audience.
A professional accompanist is provided who can read pretty much anything on sight. Bring your sheet music!
Buon Giorno has tasty quiche and other yummy things, as well as coffee and delicious Italian sodas.
How can I play?
Everybody who plays classical music is welcome to join. Sign up on the Open Classical website to grab your slot.
All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged. Musicians from the Dallas Symphony, Dallas, and Ft. Worth Operas and other area orchestras perform at our weekly classical open mic event. Students in both high school, as well as, college and amateur musicians both accomplished and beginners enjoy this unique opportunity to practice and play. Our goal is to provide a fun atmosphere where all can share their talents and not be afraid to be harshly judged. Mistakes are pretty common and part of the open mic experience.
