Girls of DFW is hosting their third concert series aimed at showcasing female singer-songwriters and entrepreneurs across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex this March for Women's History Month.

This is a listening room environment with an acoustic song swap between local and well-loved singer-songwriters Jenna Clark (Country / Folk), Bayleigh Cheek (rock), La Bell (Soul /R&B), and Johnson herself (Americana), followed by special guests who will share a two song, acoustic performance. Artists include Sarah Carrino, Honin, Billie Jo Joe, Gabby Minton, Simone Nicole, Penny & Dime, MIN, Jordan Monroe, Lina Mapes.  Concert goers can shop works from Sarah Johnson Fine Art, Fort Worth muralist and artist Jana Renée, as well as Bolschitz Design Co’s unique jewelry, colorful art prints, apparel and more. “Girls of DFW seeks to celebrate the incredible creative talent of female artists and businesswomen of Dallas-Fort Worth. We also want to foster a sense of collaboration and teamwork amongst participants,” says founder Sarah Johnson, a local singer-songwriter and painter.

“We want others to see how collaborative and welcoming the Dallas music scene is. There is no sense of competition. We all want each other to succeed and help each other have opportunities to grow as musicians,” says Johnson. The first concert is sponsored by local female-owned businesses and entrepreneurs such as Maylee Thomas with Texas Homegrown Music as the presenting sponsor, Amber LaFrance of CultureHype and host of Deep Ellum Radio’s “Women Crush Wednesday” show, Katie Scott of Red Zeppelin Records and more to be announced.
