This special service of a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols has been performed in Anglican churches over one-hundred years. Join us for a unique celebration of Biblical lessons telling of the prophecy and birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which are read by civic, educational, cultural, and religious leaders. The Cathedral Choir at Church of the Holy Communion sings anthems and leads favorite carols of the season!
Guest musicians will include Yumiko Endo Schlaeffer performing the Harp Concerto in B-flat by George Frederick Handel at 6:30pm. Our Music Director and Organist, Candace Bawcombe, will lead guest musicians from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Our guest organist will be Frederick Grimes.
Pre-service concert begins at 6:30pm. The service begins at 7:00pm. Please arrive early to secure a seat. The doors open at 6:00pm. A Christmas reception for all follows.
