Directed by Associate Professor Steven Young, Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” tells the tragic tale of a Scottish warrior who receives a prophecy that he will become the king of Scotland. Driven by ambition— an ambition only matched by that of his wife— Macbeth gives in to his most terrible instincts. Soon he finds himself driven to paranoia, madness and murder. One of Shakespeare’s most famous and influential plays asks us all the age-old question: What is the true cost of power?
The cast of “Macbeth” features TWU Theatre undergraduates Walker Delk, Lauren Jordan, Alexuss Song, Markia Graves, Katherine Moody, Camden Riefler, Katherine Hogan, Joseph Tester, Grant Tidwell, Abel Matthew, Robert Bryce, Felix Ferris, Sydnee Russ, Belinda King, Megan Ditto and Mackenzie Morales, and TWU graduate student Jonathon Dickson.
This production includes set design by Assistant Professor and Technical Director Russell McKinley, costume design by Associate Professor Rhonda Gorman, lighting design by theatre undergraduate student Patrick Bohmier and sound design by theatre undergraduate student Stephanie Jasper. Graduate students Victoria Ysla and Katherine Weber will serve as stage manager and assistant stage manager, with undergraduate student William Clark serving as a second assistant stage manager.
