Acclaimed Southern raconteur Paul Thorn and his five-piece band team up with the five-time Grammy-winning group, Blind Boys of Alabama, for a one-of-a-kind musical collaboration. Billed as the “Mission Temple Fireworks Revival,” the tour is a celebration of the first music Paul ever experienced, journeying through classic gospel, soul, and spirituals.
KERA viewers will get a chance to see Thorn perform in his upcoming television special “Paul Thorn: The Making of.” The film gives the viewer a special look at the creation of Paul’s first gospel album along with stories of his past – such as boxing inmates at a prison – that eventually lead to his unique musical career.
