The Big Deal: NEO Celebrates 30!

by Jessica Cross 5 Feb 2020 1:31 AM

The Northeast Orchestra of Tarrant County is celebrating the big three-O with their family-friendly Winter concert on Friday, February 21, 2020, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst. Founded in 1989, the Northeast Orchestra is an all-volunteer ensemble dedicated to bringing live orchestral music to northeast Tarrant County. NEO is a community orchestra that is composed of business professionals, teachers, students, music educators, retirees and more — all who come together with a love for music and the desire to share it with others. While the concerts display a high level of performance, they’re also casual, family-friendly and fun. The Winter 2020 concert will feature an overture to a Viennese operetta, a trombone concerto by a friend of Felix Mendelssohn, and a little known symphony by a man who’s composition students included Max Bruch, Edvard Grieg, and Sir Arthur Sullivan, to name just a few. After the concert, celebrations will continue with a 30th Birthday reception. Win this Big Deal and receive a pair of tickets to the performance and enjoy a complimentary dinner at Outback Steakhouse.

Be sure to browse our other offerings this week – tickets to see “Mrs. Haggardly” at Ochre House Theater or tickets to the Sing into Spring Concert presented by the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas at the Meyerson Symphony Center.

Please note: Only Art&Seek newsletter subscribers are eligible for the Big Deal. If you are not already a subscriber, you’ll want to sign up here for the newsletter first before signing up below. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Friday and will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours after notification, or cannot make the specified performance date, or declines the prize, another winner will be randomly chosen.
