The Big Deal: A Day At The Modern To See ‘Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats its Own Leg’

by Zoee Acosta 6 Jun 2018 8:32 AM

Enjoy a day at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth to view “Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats its Own Leg.” Known for his collaborations with pop icons and fashion house Louis Vuitton, and for vibrant anime-inspired characters, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (b. 1962) has blurred the boundaries throughout his career between high and low culture, ancient and modern, East and West. Organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, the exhibition is a major retrospective of his paintings, featuring fifty works that span three decades of his career, from the artist’s earliest mature works to his recent, monumentally scaled paintings.

Win this Big Deal and make it an all-day affair. Enter to win – admission for two to the museum and the exhibition, a generously illustrated exhibition catalog, and lunch for two at the stylish Café Modern.  “Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats its Own Leg” is on view from June 10 through September 16.
