- The Central Branch of the Dallas Public Library commemorates conceptual artist Marcel Duchamp’s 130th birthday on Saturday. Celebrate the artist’s influence with an evening of Dada-inspired performances from Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet, Bad Trucker with Bad Face, Professor Mutt and his Duchampaphones.
- Also on Saturday, the first ever Texas Latino Comic Con kicks off at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas. The convention will highlight Latino artists, writers, and creators in the comic book community and will feature local artistic talent, a Latino character centered cosplay contest and special guests.
- On Sunday, Fort Worth’s Shipping & Receiving is home to a video game themed art show called Secret LvL. See works by local area artists based on their favorite video games. There will also be a cosplay contest, and music from video game theme bands like Kirby’s Dream Band, The Returners, and GIMMICK.
