In the wake of this week’s record-breaking Ansel Adams photo sale (part of the Polaroid auction; the high-priced image is on display at the Amon Carter), NPR’s Planet Money program looks into the ups and downs of the art market, which doesn’t abide by the usual economic systems, it seems, and even whether the art is any good. David Kestenbaum also looks into whether investing in big-time art is actually a good bet compared to the stock market.
