Kainkalain, meaning "Togetherness" will journey you to the roots of our tree through the eyes of the Djeli, the oral historian. We will explore traditional rhythms of African drum and dance that have been ambassadors of love and community amongst many cultures. Let's come together under the big tree, a well-known gathering place and celebrate! This show will feature Dallas African Dance Conference 2018 artists: Mouminatou Camara, Ismael Kouyate, Amadou Kouyate, Seny Daffe, Fode Camara and Foluso M. alongside Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
