The Human Experience: Through the Lens of Three Women

Islamic Art Revival Series presents it’s first photography exhibition entitled THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE: Through the Lens of Three Women.

The Human Experience features the work of three Texas-based women including, Carolyn Brown, Tuba Koymen and Farah Janjua.

The exhibit will run February 28 – March 25, 2018at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations.

The opening reception is Friday March 2nd, from 6-8:30PM, featuring Dr. Nada Shabout as the keynote speaker. Dr. Shabout is a Professor of Art History and the Coordinator of the Contemporary Arab and Muslim Cultural Studies Initiative (CAMCSI) at the University of North Texas. She is the founding president of the Association for Modern and Contemporary Art from the Arab World, Iran and Turkey (AMCA).

There will be an artist panel with guest experts Richard Doughty (editor of AramcoWorld) and Debora Hunter (Professor Emerita at SMU) on Saturday, March 10th from 3:30-5:30PM.
