The music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is leaving that job after nearly two decades at the podium.
The symphony announced Thursday that Miguel Harth-Bedoya will step aside to become “conductor laureate” in Forth Worth after the 2019-2020 season ends.
It’s the second major departure in the North Texas classical-music scene. Jaap Van Zweden is leaving the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to take over the New York Philharmonic this fall.
