Black Cinematheque Dallas

A unique film program, Black Cinematheque Dallas is the only venue in the Southwest, presenting Black films by accomplished media artists from around the world on a monthly basis. Families can enjoy documentaries, features, shorts, animation and experimental films by African American independent filmmakers as well as African filmmakers from Africa, Canada, Great Britain, and Caribbean filmmakers from Martinique, Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, Columbia and Brazil.By featuring films from the African Diaspora, Black Cinematheque Dallas encourages discovery and discussion thus conveying to our audiences the shared kinship, rituals, history, traditions and diversity of Africans throughout the world. Through the world of film no matter how far apart our boundaries, we can all become closer and realize our united spirit.
