Dallas Public Library - Fretz Park Branch
Located in far North Dallas on Belt Line Road just east of Hillcrest, the Fretz Park Branch Library is one of the larger branches in the Dallas Public Library system. It opened on January 10, 1976 after over 6 years of campaigning by local community groups and continues to be an important part of the neighborhood. The library boasts an extremely varied collection of materials, a spacious children's room with a special area designated for young adults, and a large triangular shaped display case in the front lobby which always inspires local artists and organizations to share their treasures with others. The Fretz Park Branch offers weekly story times for both toddlers and preschoolers and a monthly book discussion group for adults.
