Southern Fried Circus Fest

This October, artists from around the country will come together for the very first circus festival of its kind - Southern Fried Circus Fest! Located in Dallas, Texas, SFCF is a multi-disciplinary 10-day festival featuring workshops, lectures, performances, and panel discussions from world-renowned artists.
In addition, SFCF will serve as an act development showcase for aerialists around the country to perform an act in a non-competitive setting and receive feedback from expert aerialists!
This act development showcase will feature all levels from amateur to professional. You will receive constructive comments ranging from character development, showmanship, technicality, originality & more. This is an excellent chance to develop yourself and your act.
The festival itself will be held October 2-11, 2015. The first weekend will be dedicated to workshops, lectures and panel discussions. The week will consist of performance intensives and classes, and the last weekend will focus on performances.
For those interested in the performance aspect, video submissions of your act will be due by August 16th. We will be provide feedback from industry professionals and your final act performance will be held in the final days of the festival. There will be a panel of professional aerialists from around the country to give feedback, as well as the option for audience feedback. Submissions will be accepted for silks, lyra, trapeze, cyr, straps, corde lisse, adagio, hammock & more.
