Geppetto's Marionette Theater/Le Theatre de Marionette
In 1993, Le Theatre de marionette opened a permanent theater in the downtown art district in Arlington, TX. The theater was dedicated to presenting the traditional European style art form of marionette ‘string' puppetry. The theater presented classic children's stories and expanded to an additional location at NorthPark center in 1996. In 1997, The Arlington theater was closed and the theater in Dallas became the central performance and launch for educational shows which toured to schools, libraries and other facilities. Today, Le Theatre de Marionette operates with expanded shows, workshops, and activities for children and families. In conjunction with the Texas Commission of the Arts, Big Thought, Imagination Celebration and private funding, Le Theatre presents shows throughout the DFW area and Texas.
