For more than 50 years, the Club's reputation for quality has been unchallenged. Rich in history and tradition, Ridglea Country Club was initially the vision of the late A. C. Luther, the premier developer of the Ridglea area.
Built of natural stone and glass, the Club's California architecture is indigenous to the North Texas environment in which it is set.
Golf enthusiasts have all of the Club's facilities at their disposal, including two distinct yet equally challenging courses. The Family course plays 6447 yards from the Championship tees. From its inception in 1930, the lush fairways and greens at Ridglea's Family course have been legendary and classic examples of challenging design and playable beauty. In 1967, Ralph Plummer designed the Championship Course, playing 7200 yards from the Championship tees, with a par of 72. A full staff of golf professionals, bag and cart staff, two separate golf shops, and two practice facilities round out the complete golfing services.
Because Ridglea believes that general fitness is the key to one's physical well being, Ridglea offers a comprehensive fitness program for everyone from first-time exercisers to those wishing to maintain their peak level of health. This commitment is reinforced by our specially trained staff and a premiere facility, which includes free weights, cardiovascular equipment, and a full set of nautilus equipment. The locker rooms are beautifully finished with the locker rooms having such amenities as saunas and whirlpools.
For the tennis enthusiast, Ridglea's first class tennis facility features 11 lighted outdoor courts, surfaced for all weather play, and a fully outfitted pro shop and Midway. The complete tennis program, includes group and private instructions for all ages and abilities, is administered by an excellent director of tennis and full staff of teaching professionals.
In addition to golf and tennis, Ridglea offers a beautiful swimming pool and spacious sunning and outdoor dining areas. Group and private swimming instruction is available for every level of skill with special emphasis on a fine summer youth program including a swim/dive team with almost 150 children participating annually.
Ridglea is among the most luxurious club facilities in the city. The magnificent clubhouse with over 110,000 square feet features four unique dining areas which offer numerous gourmet delights. The polished Brazilian teakwood and gleaming chandeliers add an elegant touch to every occasion.
