City of Lake Dallas - City Park

Located next to the middle school and school district offices and on the corner of one of the primary intersections in Lake Dallas, City Park serves all of Lake Dallas and the surrounding area. Centrally located in the city, most of the homes in Lake Dallas are within one half mile of the park. The park is accessed easily by walking, bicycling and driving. There is a large play area for children with slides, climbing bars, activity centers, stepping stones and picnic tables and benches for parents to watch and enjoy. This playground is safe for toddlers and older children.

City Park is the center of activity for Lake Dallas sports. The Lake Cities Soccer Association has created six soccer fields at the park and uses the field in the spring and fall. Youth football and baseball also use the field for their seasonal games.

The City of Lake Dallas was awarded a Texas Parks and Wildlife grant in the amount of $50,000 for improvements to the park. The Lake Dallas Community Development Corporation, Lake Cities Soccer Association, Waste Management, Allsup's and the Boys and Girls Club of Denton County contributed additional donations for the construction of a concession stand complete with a pavillion, picnic tables and restrooms. Other improvements you'll find at this park include a new basketball court, additional lighting and sidewalks, a butterfly garden, a renovated Veteran's Memorial, and horseshoe pits.
