One Arts Plaza

One Arts Plaza, the 24-story multi-use building developed by Billingsley Company, announces the launch of its weekly plaza entertainment beginning May 22. The launch of plaza programs and entertainment coincides with the completion of the building and the upcoming May grand opening of One Arts Plaza restaurants Dali Wine Bar and Cellar, Screen Door, followed by Tei An in June, Jorge's Tex-Mex Cafe this summer and Fedora's Italian bistro in the fall. Plaza activities will take place each week and will include: performances by the Dallas Symphony Musicians each Monday and Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m.; the Dallas Black Dance Theater from 7 – 9 p.m. on Thursdays through August and student performers from Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in the fall; local performances by musicians, dancers, jazz groups, caricature artists, chorus groups, jugglers, magicians and more each Friday and Saturday from 7 - 9 p.m. and St. Paul's United Methodist Church will have Gospel Choirs on Sundays from 1 - 3 p.m. through the end of June. Monthly event highlights will include an organic farmer's market presented by Whole Foods on the 1st Saturday and Sunday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Jazz Musicians on the last Friday of the month organized by St. Paul's United Methodist Church; a fresh flower kiosk each Friday from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. from retailer GRO Designs, art exhibitions, festivals, film screenings and events to be scheduled.
