Teens ages 13 to 17 can attend an interactive film screening of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at the South Garland Branch Library. The screening takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12.
In Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, four high school students are transported to a jungle through an old video game. There they are transformed into their adult avatars and forced to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives. Will they be able to beat the game and return to the real world, or will they be stuck in the game forever?
Attendees will receive plastic pith helmets and bags of props to use during the screening. The bags will include a letter from character Nigel Billingsley listing the film’s interactive scenes, in addition to glow sticks, character cards, sunglasses, and snacks. Teens will be prompted when it is time to use their props. Registration is required to attend and is limited to twenty participants. Registration begins Saturday, Sept. 28. Call 972-205-3933 to register.
