Tuesdays | October 1 – 22, 2019
6 – 9 p.m.
Designed for students with some watercolor painting experience, this intermediate course will focus on exploring more advanced techniques and compositions in watercolor that center around an Autumnal theme.
The course will include a basic discussion of materials, tools, and techniques. We will work from life as well as source photos, and all our work will center around fall landscapes and botanicals. The class is designed to be fun and encourages risk-taking in painting. We will aim to provide a relaxed environment in which students can learn to let go and enjoy the sometimes loose, serendipitous process of watercolor.
Students will leave the course with a solid sense of how to approach intermediate-level compositions and a burgeoning sense of personal painting style.
Number of students: 8 – 10
Students must supply their own materials.
An extensive materials list is posted on the class registration page.
