Once again we present music “in the round” with some great local singer/songwriters.

Neal Katz (www.katzmusic.com)
Neal Katz has been making folk music for over twenty-five years. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, he is now a local folk musician who performs his music at coffee-houses, folk festivals, living room concerts, and more. Over the years, Neal has been an opening act for a number of popular musicians as they passed through East Texas. In 2010, he was chosen as a finalist for the Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk Concerts.

In his quest to promote his fellow local artists, Neal produced a compilation CD in 2007 called "Rise Up." It was made up of East Texas singer/songwriters and benefited a social-service agency in Tyler, TX called PATH.

Tim Chauvin
Tim was born and raised in New England, migrated to Massachusetts, and spent his college years in the Great Lakes region. He moved to Texas in 1981 and he and his family live on a small farm in Nacogdoches County in a home they built.

During the early 1980’s Tim was a touring musician, but left the craft to pursue another artistic outlet in Timber Framed architecture; however, he continued to write music and perform intermittently around the country.

In 2003 he released his debut CD “Winds of Change”. It was well received and garnered numerous kind reviews. Sing Out magazine said, “If you’re craving wonderfully written story songs in simple but beautiful arrangements, this CD is for you."

Tim returns to The Old Firehouse to share these stories with our audience.

Bill Nash
Bill Nash has been a musician all his life. He was a 5-year-old boy soprano, a 4th-grade french hornist, a 15-year-old beginning guitarist and then an 18-year-old guitar teacher. He graduated from Bradley University's School of Music, majoring in composition, and an almost master's degree from his time at the University of Colorado.

Bill began writing music and lyrics in his early teens and his roots are firmly embedded in what is now known as the singer/songwriter acoustic music genre. He has performed styles as diverse as rock 'n roll, fusion, country, polka, folk, and even old-time western music, ala the Sons of the Pioneers.

Bill has 3 albums with songs ranging from love songs to heartbreak songs, true stories to completely imaginative fabrications, and protest songs to environmental songs. He is a regular attendee at Kerrville, and we're thrilled to have him back on our stage.
