Join Ballet North Texas for their 2019/2020 opening season concert, a night on the Trinity, This years production features associate artistic director Anna sessions’ melange a light and fanciful piece that premiered in February 2019. Appropriately titled, Melange, plays on the camaraderie of the company dancers while encompassing their unique attributes and contributions in the studio.
The company’s classical foundation is called upon in their presentation of LaVivandiere. Notation of Arthur Saint-Léon’s and Fanny Cerrito’s original 1846 choreography was luckily preserved in the archives of the Paris Opéra. In 1975 dance notatcion expert Ann Hutchinson-Guest and Balletmaster Pierre Lacotte reconstructed Saint-Léon's choreography which Ballet North Texas has used in its setting of this ballet.
Two world premieres are included in this seasons Night on the Trinity. The first piece titled Lie within Crimson is choreographed by Artistic Director, Nicolina Lawsons’ with an original composition by Anthony Costarella. T The second premier is presented by the company’s Ballet Master, Cindy Michaels.
Guest performance will include pieces by Ballet Frontier of Texas.
