Sergei and the Seasons

Arlington Museum of Art

We are celebrating 2 famous composers with the first name of Sergei! Sergei Rachmaninoff not only composed the greatest and most beautiful piano concertos but also songs, which are not often performed. Our tenor Don O’Neal LeBlanc will perform his most loved songs by Rachmaninoff, and soprano Judith Rodriguez will sing the beautiful Rachmaninoff “Vocalise.” Tenor Sergio Cepeda will preview his November concert repertoire. All will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Heejung Kang, violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth, and cellist Dr. Sara Birnbaum Hood.  The instrumental trio will also perform  “Romeo and Juliet Suite” by Sergei Prokofiev, music in chamber music form from his most famous score for ballet. We have also found some colorful music that describes the seasons.

Post-concert party as usual with complimentary wine and soft drinks, fruit/cheese/desserts buffet, and pianist Erik Barnes will take your requests. Table seating for 2 or up to 9. $33-15. Tickets and info at timelessconcerts.com.

Concert 8:00 pm, (doors open no earlier than 7:30.)
