Diez Latinas: A Common Thread

Latino Cultural Center

Diez Latinas: A Common Thread. This exhibit is about Latina women and their works. Each artist was filmed to express their interpretation of their works during interview sessions for Kitchen Table Platicas with Viola Delgado. Five of the artists were featured in the 2016 exhibit titled Cinco Latinas. Five new artists have been selected for the new exhibit: Diez Latinas, weaving a common thread between them through their artwork.  The artists come from all walks of life including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, El Salvador, and Texas.  Most artists are ages 40-80.

A free panel discussion with the curator and the artists moderated by Dianne Solis will be Saturday, Aug 10, 2019 @2:00 at the Latino Cultural Center.

Artists are:

Adriana Acero (Colombia) - painting,  Leticia Alaniz (Mexico) - photography, Adriana Cobo (Chile)- sculpture, Angela Faz (Texas) - printmaking, Diana Marquis (Texas) - ceramic, Ivonne Acero (Colombia) - soft sculpture, Sara Cardona (Mexico) - mixed media on paper, Maria Teresa G.
