Fashion Film Series: Westwood: Punk. Icon. Activist.

Dallas Museum of Art

As part of our July Fashion Film Series, the DMA will host a screening of the documentary Westwood: Punk. Icon. Activist. Combining interviews with behind-the-scenes and runway footage, Westwood: Punk. Icon. Activist. examines the career and legacy of trailblazing British designer Dame Vivienne Westwood, from her start in Derbyshire to Paris and Milan fashion weeks and her activist work around the world. Having achieved enormous acclaim for her designs over the past 40 years, the artist and those close to her reflect on her contributions to fashion and where the brand is headed in the face of increasing globalization of the fashion industry. This film is not rated (2018, 80 min.).
