Adults can enjoy a free screening of the film Galaxy Quest as part of the Nicholson Memorial Library System’s Adult Summer Reading Program. The movie will be shown at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 at the South Garland Branch Library.
In Galaxy Quest, the former cast members of a space-themed television series must reprise their roles in the real world when an alien race needs help defeating a reptilian warlord.
The film is rated PG, but due to mild language, this event is recommended for adults. Children may attend if accompanied by an adult. Parents may consult IMDB.com to make an informed decision on whether Galaxy Quest is appropriate viewing for their families.
Doors open 15 minutes prior to the event. No registration is required, but seating is limited. Popcorn and water will be available while supplies last.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Nicholson Memorial Library System. The South Garland Branch Library is located at 4845 Broadway Blvd., at Oates Road. Please be aware that photographs and video may be taken at Library programs for use in print and/or electronic media at the Library’s discretion. For more information, please call 972-205-3931.
