This includes the Charlotte region, and our neighbors in Stanly County, who suffer the most opioid-related deaths in the state. Jim Walsh, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the Bureau of International Narcotics, examines the forces beyond our borders that contribute to this epidemic in our backyards.
