I Want It That Way: Second Thursday with a Twist

Take a unique and unexpected look at the Museum’s collection with a pop culture twist. Whether your boy band mania started in the 80s, 90s, or today, we have a night celebrating your favorite synchronized dancing heartthrobs. 

SHAPE OF MY HEART:
All night, Art Studio, Center for Creative Connections (C3)
Decorate your own canvas panel to show which band holds the key to your heart. Space is limited to the first 300 people; pick up free tickets beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the table in front of C3. 

WHAT A GIRL WANTS
All night,
Pick up a quiz in the Concourse Take our quiz to find out which artworks in the collection match with the boy band persona you’re destined to be with.    

BEST SONG EVER
5:00–7:00,
Atrium 
Listen to all your favorite boy band hits while sipping a drink or getting dinner at the cafe.  

LARGER THAN LIFE
6:30 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.,
Meet at the main Visitor Services Desk 
Tour the galleries to find out about the boy bands of art history, including the Surrealists, Impressionists, and Pre-Raphaelites, with Katie Cooke, DMA Manager of Adult Programs. 

STEP BY STEP
7:00 p.m.,
Atrium 
Join Ruby Room to see some Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and Boyz II Men dance moves, and then learn a few yourself with quick tutorials.
