Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 7:30 PM, the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra will return to Bass Performance Hall for the 54th season’s Grand Finale performance. The audience will enjoy experiencing all four ensembles of the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra perform: Junior String Orchestra, String Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra and the premier ensemble of the FWYO, the Youth Orchestra.
The Youth Orchestra will perform French composer Éric Satie’s famous and witty ballet Parade and in preparation for the Youth Orchestra's tour of Spain in June 2020, they will also perform The Three-Cornered Hat by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. Philharmonic Orchestra will delight in a performance of Mexican composer Arturo Márquez’ Conga del Fuego Nuevo featuring dancers from the FWISD’s I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and the Performing and Visual Arts. A trio of young musicians performing with String Orchestra will impress audience members with their performance of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso in D minor and Junior String Orchestra will charm in a rendition of the Irish Farewell.
