“Mexican Modern Sculpture: A Study of the Artists” is curated by María Estela Duarte, one of the greatest authorities in Mexican modern art. The inaugural Latino Arts Project exhibition will feature nearly 100 sculptures and numismatics from nine transformational artists considered peers of the world-renowned Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.
With the support of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura and the Secretaría de Cultura de México, the Latino Arts Project is the only venue in the United States to feature this exhibit. Organized by the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo in Mexico City, the exhibition will be on view from May 5 to September 22, 2019.
