Art Room

Instructor:

Mandy Metts
[email protected]

Dates:

July 22 – 26, 2019
9 a.m – 12 p.m.

Description:

Let’s befriend everyday materials like cardboard, bubble wrap, and glue this summer, making those cereal and Amazon boxes into incredible works of art! In this five-day camp, students will learn to create abstract sculptures with a variety of unique materials. They will learn about the artist Louise Nevelson—a master sculptor—and her use of wood, junk, and found objects to create monochromatic three-dimensional pieces. Students will also have the opportunity to experiment with clay, plaster, and wire as they make honeycomb and bee-inspired sculptures!

The summer camp session is open to the public—ages seven to 12. All supplies are included.

Number of students: 10 – 12

Tuition: $185
