Outcry Youth Theatre presents the world premiere of The Time Machine, a modern take on H. G. Wells classic science fiction novella. A young scientist, Marie, is working to break through the barrier of time, hoping to discover if humanity will ever solve the world's problems. But when her friend Jocelyn starts the time machine before it's finished, they both travel far into the future, into a shocking new reality. The human race has evolved into two radically different species: the childlike Eloi, who live above ground, and the rough and brutal Morlocks, who live below ground. When the time machine is stolen by Morlocks, Marie and Jocelyn must enlist the help of an Eloi named Nawee to attempt to recover it, or risk getting stuck in the future forever.
Written by Jason Johnson-Spinos
Based on the novella by H. G. Wells
