The annual salute is highlighted by a free concert and open house from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Moody Performance Hall, 2520 Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District. The public event features:

·         Live music by four local jazz groups

·         Free jazz CDs and the new “Great Day in Dallas” poster, featuring nearly 70 local jazz artists photographed by Jesse Hornbuckle.

·         D’JAM Jazz Legends Awards presentation

Snacks and other beverages will be available for sale at the Performance Hall concession stand. For more information, including a calendar of all D’JAM events in North Texas, visit www.jazzdallas.com.

Now in its seventh year, D’JAM is sponsored by the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs and the Moody Fund for the Arts to coordinate a series of events showcasing jazz in North Texas.

D’JAM is the local celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month which has been sponsored each April by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History since 2004. Designed to draw public attention to American jazz as both an historical and living treasure, JAM is now held worldwide.
