Featuring Natasha Wells
Natasha Wells is a Houston native and graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Dallas. She completed her studies at Mountain View College, Dallas Baptist University and Southern Methodist University with her Master of Music in Voice and Master of Liberal Arts degrees.
As a professional singer and actress some of her theatre and stage debut include Slave Letters with MBS Productions, Kismet, Pleasures and Palaces, and Desert Song with Lyric Stage. She made her acting debut with the touring stage play Watch Night: A Freedom’s Eve Story (“Mrs Jones/Yolanda”) written and produced by former Dallas Cowboys player, Greg Ellis and T.K. Henderson where she also was an understudy for the renowned actress, Irma P. Hall. She was twice nominated for an Irma P. Hall Award for Best Featured Actress in the play, Slave Letters. She made her acting debut with Cara Mia Theater in their World Premiere of Where Earth Meets the Sky (“Indigenous Elder”).
She recently made her acting debut with Bishop Arts Theatre in Black Nativity in December 2018 and was nominated for a Column Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical – Equity for her role in Black Nativity. She also returned to the Main Stage in Addison with MBS Productions, 5 Plays in 5 Days in Confessions of Slave Nat Turner in March 2019.
Natasha is a professional opera and gospel musician with some of her accomplishments including her solo debut with Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Opera Chorus, Metropolitan Opera Finalist, and a Leontyne Price Finalist. She is a contract musician with Christ the King Catholic Church and a faithful member of Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
