Celebrating its 22nd season, July 1-12, Mimir Chamber Music Festival has become of the most celebrated annual music events and teaching festivals in Texas and the Southwest. The Festival features five Mimir Artists concerts and two Emerging Artists concerts. This year's exceptional Mimir Artists include a familiar cast of Grammy Award-nominated recording artists, members of Nashville Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Houston Symphony, The Cleveland Orchestra and faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music, University of Melbourne Conservatory of Music and Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
Emerging Artists ensembles are selected by international audition and will receive intensive daily instruction, participate in public master classes, select community outreach performances, and present full-length performances. The Festival is generously hosted by the TCU School of Music on the University's beautiful campus in Fort Worth, Texas.
Concerts take place July 3,5,9 and 12 at 7:30 pm in the Walsh Center for the Performing Arts in the intimate PepsiCo Recital Hall -- a perfect setting for enjoying the magic of chamber music. A Sunday matinee performance is July 7 at 2 pm at the Kimbell Art Museum's Renzo Piano Pavilion.
