2019 Spring Fundraiser: An Evening with Dr. Ruth
Before becoming Dr. Ruth, psychosexual therapist and world-renowned sex expert, 10-year old Karola Ruth Siegel was one of thousands of Jewish children separated from their parents and sent on the Kindertransport to escape the Nazis. She made it to safety in Switzerland in January 1939. Sadly, the rest of her family was murdered in the Holocaust.
Join us on Thursday, April 11th at Congregation Shearith Israel as Dr. Ruth shares her inspirational story of survival, determination, and triumph. She will talk about her heartbreaking childhood loss and her current and most important mission: inspiring others and empowering them to stand up against prejudice, hatred, and indifference, so that history does not repeat itself.
