What are two things that are the same but different? Crafts! Join us every second Thursday as we indulge in two of Denton’s most favorite pastimes; arts and crafts and craft beer! Each month will feature different artists, techniques, and mediums, giving you a range of opportunities to learn new skills and connect with makers over a cold drink provided by Armadillo Ale Works. Drop-in, hang a while, and discover the pleasure of working with your hands.

We will be learning basic knot tying techniques to create modern plant hangers made of natural cording and a wooden plant vessel. Participants will have the opportunity to customize their plant hangers, making them one of a kind. They will leave with a finished plant hanger, easy to care for air plant, and directions on how to care for the plant!
Savannah Kurka is the maker, designer, and art educator based in Denton, Texas. Savannah is the maker behind Savvie Studio, a laser cut home goods and gifts brand. Her work aims to inspire closer connections to nature, and to create healthier spaces by bringing plant life indoors.
When she isn't in her studio, she loves learning to garden, trying a new recipe, or playing with her two pups! Savannah is also a co-op member at The Dime Store, and enjoys teaching creative workshops all over the great state of Texas.
