WAAS Presents Force Fields

WAAS Gallery

Curator/Director Brandy Michele Adams announces that WAAS Gallery is presenting a one-night performance in by Ru Emmons and H. Gene Thompson.

'Force Fields' is a collaborative dance performance by Ru Emmons and H. Gene Thompson. The show deals with themes of human isolation from our natural and emotional environments.

Force Fields:
The duo uses wearable sculptures to perform transformations and protection routines seeking ways to set themselves free in a physical and energetic way. Using imagery of portals and voids, the show deals with themes of human isolation from our natural and emotional environments. Together this duo has shown their work in cabaret performances, solo theaters shows, and galleries.

H. Gene Thompson’s explores human connectivity through wearable fabric sculptures, holding a space that challenges social boundaries and our interactions.

Ru Emmons is a movement artist who strives to use their body as a tool for social change and personal transformation. Their work deals with themes of queerness, living in a poisoned world, and apocalyptic alternatives.
