Alejandra is an artist and educator born and raised in the border city of Juárez, Mexico. She is a co-host of Meet me with Curiosity’s Poetry in the Park event at Klyde Warren Park and is a member of Teatro Flor Candela Theatre Company as an actress and dancer. Her bilingual poetry can be found in three anthologies with the Writers’ Association in Juarez, an anthology by Rotary International, a chapter book with Voces Writers through the Oak Cliff Coalition for Arts, and most recently in the Chachalaca Review. Alejandra is a dual language gifted and talented K-1st teacher with DISD and earned her Master’s in Bilingual Education from SMU. She delivered a TEDx talk about the power of poetry in her classroom and was named 2018 Millennial to Watch on the Dallas Weekly.
Reverie Koniecki, is a Dallas based, African-American educator, and an active member of Dallas’s thriving literary arts scene. Reverie currently serves as a poetry editor for The Henniker Review. Reverie is also co-facilitator of Stone Soup Poetry Workshop, and co-host of Meet Me With Curiosity. Reverie’s poetry has been featured with Off the Margins, Entropy, RoadMaps, White Rock Zine Machine, and Thimble Literary Magazine.
