A Day in the Life: Paleontologist

Perot Museum of Nature and Science

You’re not in Texas anymore! Embark on a journey to find out what a paleontologist does on an excavation or research trip to Alaska with Dr. Anthony Fiorillo, the Perot Museum’s chief curator and vice president of research and collections. What is it like to travel to the coldest and most remote areas? What does a paleontologist wear? How do they stay safe from bugs and bears? How can you find unique discoveries on your own? Explore the answers to these questions and more as you enjoy a meal that a paleontologist would eat in the field, and spend the morning digging for dinosaur bones, learning all about Arctic dinosaurs, and creating your own dinosaur memento together with a community of explorers.

This special morning will also include an exclusive look at the discoveries made by Dr. Fiorillo in the T. Boone Pickens Life Then and Now Hall, guided by the paleontologist himself.

After A Day in the Life, please feel free to explore the rest of the Museum as general admission is included.
