Greater Lewisville Community Theatre is thrilled to present the powerful Broadway musical, Next To Normal, with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and Music by Tom Kitts. Directed by Sheran Goodspeed Keyton, the show runs February 1-24.
Next To Normal takes an unflinching look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of mental illness. The story explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, it was chosen as one of the year’s ten best shows by critics around the country. Next to Normal is a deeply moving piece of theatre with an energetic pop/rock score, an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life.
