Dallas Malandros is the North Texas branch of the San Diego group, Os Malandros de MestreTouro, led by Mestre Preto Velho. Capoeira (developed in Brazil by enslaved Africans) is a self-defense class and a method of cultural connection. We offer classes in the AfricanBrazilian martial art of Capoeira Angola.
Our group emphasizes the African roots of Capoeira and the combative aspects of the martial art.
Classes are open to everyone, of all ages, genders and ethnicities. Young children under 7 years old should always be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the class.
Anyone interested can try the first week of class free.
