Children can enjoy a free screening of the 2016 film Pete’s Dragon at the South Garland Branch Library on Jan. 19 at 2 p.m.
Pete’s Dragon relates the adventures of an orphan boy named Pete and his dragon friend Elliot. The film is rated PG. No registration is required, and all ages may attend these events. Free popcorn and water are available while supplies last. Attendees at the event can also make their own dragon out of colored paper cups, pom poms, googly eyes, and red, orange and yellow streamers
