ART214 Call for Artists

South Dallas Cultural Center

Entries Deadline: Friday, February 1, 2019

The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) announces a call for entries for the 2nd annual ART214 juried exhibition, which will be presented during Dallas Arts Month in 2019.

ABOUT THE ART214 EXHIBITION

Five OCA facilities, the Bath House Cultural Center, the Latino Cultural Center, the Moody Performance Hall, the Oak Cliff Cultural Center and the South Dallas Cultural Center, are organizing a multi-venue juried exhibition that will showcase the works of artists who live in Dallas and the Greater North Texas region.

ART214 is a five-section collaborative exhibition that gives the citizens of Dallas an opportunity to discover and enjoy the work of talented local and regional visual artists.  Each of the partnering cultural centers brings its own audiences, artists, communities and history.  By scheduling connected dates to display a different section of the show at each center, the ART214 exhibition creates a unique opportunity for the public to visit all the centers during Dallas Arts Month, and it also promotes collaboration and cross-pollination of artists and audiences.

The 2019 ART214 exhibition will be juried by Susan Lecky, Nychelle Grant, Lucas Martell and Arthur PeñaDu Chau will curate the five exhibitions.
