Flicks by Chicks Film Festival, an extension of Women in Film Dallas, is a platform for independent female filmmakers. Competitive and juried, it exists to promote, empower, and mentor women in the film industry and the media arts.
The festival opens at 4 p.m. with the FxCF Filmmakers Workshop, From On Screen to Behind the Camera! led by award-winning producer and actress Liz Cardenas, known for “A Ghost Story” (2017). Workshop attendees are treated to behind-the-scenes access with filmmakers, cast and crew of the selected films.
The shorts block screening is at 7 p.m., after the Red Carpet photo opportunities.
