Calling all amateur bakers!
We are so excited for our 10th annual Pie Contest at White Rock Farmers Market on November 17th! Join us at our neighborhood producer-only farmers market in East Dallas for this blockbuster pie contest where we invite bakers to bring their winning pies for a tasty, festive extravaganza celebrating our community and…. PIES!!! Bring a pie, or just come to taste! All tasters are considered to be judges, and are challenged to choose their favorite pie for each category!
Pie Categories:
Fruit – Nut – Chocolate – Cream/Custard - Savory- Youth (for bakers under 16)
Deadline for Entry – Friday, November 16th
Entry instructions:
Fill out the application below
$10 fee per entry
(all proceeds go to support our 501 (c) 3 non-profit so we may continue our farmers markets and programming)
Bakers must bake two pies per entry, both for tasting
(entry fee covers tasting pies, if entering several types of pies, there is an entry fee per pie entry)
Rules:
Contest open to AMATEUR bakers of all ages
Contestants may enter as many pies and/or categories they choose.
Pies, pie fillings, and pie crust must be homemade.
No commercial fillings, crusts, or store-bought pies.
Please bring your own serving utensil.
Contestants must check-in by 10 am at White Rock Farmers Market Information Booth and must be present to serve their pie from 10am – 12pm.
GLM will provide tables, serving plates, forks and napkins.
** Bakers under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Prizes:
Winners in each category win ribbons, market tokens and bragging rights!
With your consent, pies and bakers will be featured on our social media outlets.
