Candlelight highlights the many ways the holidays were celebrated throughout the late 1800s, with special attention paid to how each house or building would be decorated and what traditions they would hold dear. Attendees will experience holiday traditions of the late 1800s including: carolers, hay wagon rides, holiday storytelling, entertainment, hand-weaving, blacksmithing, St. Nicholas, interpreters in traditional costume, and many other festive activities such as the American Flyer model train exhibit in the Depot. Our variety of historic buildings, circa 1840-1910, will be decorated for the holidays. Festive foods will be available for purchase from food trucks as well as a bake sale, traditional kettle korn, nuts and more.
