The 43rd Annual Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival

University Christian Church

Travel back in time with us to the 14th century this January 5th and 6th when University Christian Church of Fort Worth celebrates its 43rd year of presenting The Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival. It is a magnificent story of Christmas like never seen before—you will feel the floor shake and your excitement rise as the Beefeaters make their way into the Sanctuary. The stunning renaissance inspired costumes will take you back in time. The masterfully composed music performed by the members of the UCC Chancel Choir, Youth Bell Choirs and Fort Worth Civic Orchestra brings this enchanting festival to life for an unforgettable experience.

This celebration of good over evil began as a holiday tradition in the grand manor houses of England and was brought to America during Colonial days. There's never a dull moment in this fast-moving production made possible by the commitment of over 300 cast members, musicians and technical crew. There are companies of lords and ladies, sprites and dancers who all come to worship and guide us to the newly born Christ Child in a live manger scene.

Festival times are 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on both Saturday, January 5th and Sunday, January 6th, 2019. Performances are free and open to all as a gift to the community from University Christian Church. Limited patron tickets are available for $15 and go on sale beginning Monday, November 26th online at universitychristian.org/bhylf.
